i have a basement trapdoor outside that’s built into our deck that weighs a ton, we have a lock that keeps it in up and in place when we pick it up, my husband made sure it was locked when i watched the ring and when he went down it came loose and i genuinely thought it killed him. thankfully he was already at the basement door when it came down, what is a better way we can do this without it crushing my husband?
