Retrogression Techniques and some other concepts

Some of the facts and Techniques that you can test.

  1. Retrograde Planets are closer to Earth as Earth is between Sun and that Planet.
  2. When planets( mars jupiter saturn uranus neptune) are in Exact Degree Opposition to Sun. They reach their closest distance to Earth and appears Brightest. This is the best time for that planets gazing from eyes or telescope. (As you can see simulation in some months of a year, where they appear bigger in whole year).
  3. Planet in Exact degree opposition to Sun have highest chestabala of 60. As their effect on Earth is more during this period.
  4. Mercury and venus have high chesta bala of 60 when they are retrograde and have same degree as Sun. So they are both retro and combust at their closest distance to earth. So you cant see them.
  5. Retrograde position is karmic, as that planet have you by collar to make you fulfill its signification that you didnt complete in past.
  6. If you know AI & Machine learning, you must have heard of Batch gradient descent and stochastic gradient descent. Direct Planets are like batch gradient descent: stable , can sometimes stuck at local minima. While Retrograde planets are like stochastic GD, slightly unstable but fast and dont get stuck at local minima.
  7. Retrograde planets have high chesta bala, thus allows more mistakes to learn and never settle. If they are in right direction/path then they reach results earlier than direct planets. Example : emmanuel macron youngest president etc. But if in wrong direction, they will make your life hell and never let you settle.
  8. Wherever there is retrograde planet, there is no stability and even commitment issues. Thats why rahu ketu axis is also unstable.
  9. The way of working of retrograde planet is different than direct or stationary planet.
  10. Exalted planet have sthana bala, retrograde have chesta bala. Both are different. Only idiots consider retrograde exalted as debilitated and retro debilitated as exalted. I follow BPHS only, and have no need for translation of other authors into english language causing misinterpretation.
  11. Even when that retro planet have sthana bala( feels that they are in right place), they will deliver results by making mistakes. But it doesnt mean that they will give bad results, just their way of working is by making mistakes.
  12. Retrograde planet have commitment problems, they have constant need of support from planet in combination to them or aspecting them or their dispositor . 7th house to any house completes it, and provides stability to that house.
  13. Retrograde planets needs more power for working, thats why they seek energy from 7th position to itself or from planet conjunct or aspecting them, but it doesnt mean it gives results of 7th house to itself.
  14. They work like nuclear reactor, you need more efforts to start that reactor and more effort to stop it. But it provides faster and better results than ordinary planets( if they are beneficial)
  15. Retrograde planet need to have directional strength or in combination with planet in directional strength, otherwise they will keep work in wrong direction or become less confident. Thats why rahu/ketu are best with digbali planets as they know where to work, even when that place can be wrong. But you are confident and know where to work

In this one revolution cycle from 1998(aries) to 2027(pisces)  Saturn was closest to earth on 31 december 2003 (exact opposition to sun) as it was perihelion position(saturn in gemini is closest to sun) . it was brightest and closest in 30 years.

While apehelion position(saturn in sagittarius is farthest to sun) was in 2017 to 2020

Sun considers retrograde planet its enemy as they are going out of control of Sun and not following the orders( direct motion) of Sun

Saturn in apehelion gets out of control of Sun, so in mundane astrology , you can see that government cant control people or some extraordinary issues originates and government cant solve them. Example: great depression, Covid-19 etc.

Astronomical Simulation of Saturn brightness, size and distance from Earth Each Year. And its Astrological Interpretation using Retrogression

This is astronomical simulation of Saturn revolution cycle , starting from 1999 to 2029. You can see its changes in brightness, size and distance each month.

Some of the facts and Techniques that you can derive from it. Starting from retrogression.

To check stationary planet, search this on google "retrograde planets {your year of birth}" . Then go to astroseek website like in the image, you will see dates when that planet have changed its motion from direct to retrograde or retrograde to direct.

These are stationary period when that planets speed is lesser.

  1. Saturn retrogrades for 140 days and remains stationary 6 day before and after.
  2. Jupiter retrogrades 120 days is stationary 5 days before and after.
  3. Mars retrogrades for 80 days and is stationary 3 to 4 days before and after.
  4. Venus is retrograde for 42 days and is stationary approximately two days before and after.
  5. Mercury retrogrades for 24 days and is stationary one day before and after.
  6. Uranus, neptune for 6 days before and after change of motion.
  7. Rahu Ketu( true node) becomes stationary and direct when moon is closer to them. While their speed decreases when sun is nearer to them. So twice a month they change their motion. Important events usually happens when rahu ketu are stationary or direct.

Prominent people with stationary planets:

Steve jobs(mercury and saturn), franklin d roosevelt(Mars), john f kennedy(mercury and uranus), donald trump(jupiter and rahu/ketu) , osho(jupiter, neptune), hitler(jupiter and saturn) etc.

These planets give results fully(good or bad) as they are stationary and still. These give rise to consequential people.

Note: stationary is just avastha of planet. There are people with more than 4 retrograde planets but they achieved early success(emmanuel macron) . There are people who become billionaire with all direct planets. Its the combination that matters, avastha just changes the intensity of that planet.

If your venus in scorpio or 8th house is afflicted then, Does this technique work on your chart?

If first house is afflicted or in mrityubhag then , the person is perpetrator. Otherwise the person is victim. I found it working on couple of charts , but if you got these combinations then How true is that?

Affliction Power: House lord or planet siting is in mrityubhag> House in Paap Kartari> Two or more malefic sitting together> One malefic sitting ,other aspecting that house> two malefic aspecting that house. Note: just one malefic aspect is not affliction.

Note: Use 5th and 9th aspect for both rahu and ketu. 3rd,7th and 10th for saturn. 4th,7th and 8th for mars.

All these Valid only for Sidereal Zodiac which is used by Vedic Astrology.

1. Difference between 7th lord in 11th house and 11th lord in 7th house: 7th lord in 11th shows your partner gaining resources and social networking after marriage or relationship. 11th lord in 7th shows you will gain from your partner. But there can be outside involvement( like partner family creating issue if it is afflicted). Note: if affliction is there then it will bring bad side of it and if good combination is there then good side will frutify. Do same for other house lord in different house.

2. Ascendant is Most important : Even best combination fails if lagna is weak. House tell capacity and potential for results, house lord tells how easily you will be able to get that result.

3. Use true node for Rahu/ketu: On eclipse they are exactly on Sun and Moon degrees.

4. Jupiter Venus combination : It is Bad for marriage if it is in lagna or navamsa chart. Either you marry late or have long distance after marriage. Or this is cheating/toxic combination for relationship. More so when moon is also involved. Same combination in Dasamsa: It will make best healers/doctors or wealthiest individuals from finance sector. [Caution: Result for marriage is seen if lagna or 7th house is connected to either jupiter or venus in lagna or navamsa chart. Result for Wealth and healers are seen if lagna or 10th house in D10 chart is connected to either of them. Otherwise above results will be less/diluted]

5. Exalted planet have high morals but will give less monetary results as compared to Debilitated planets which are opposite . For material aspect Debilitated is better, For living signification Exalted is better .Note: affliction will completely change flavour of results and same combination will be poisoned chalice.

6. For Simpler life , Direct or even combust planets are better than retrograde.

7. Most important Planet of Chart : Planet which is connected to Sun ,Moon, Lagna lord. For example if sun moon sits in sign of venus and venus aspects lagna or sitting with lagna lord. Or Planet in Lagnamsa(your inner nature): Check your lagna sign, see if any planet is sitting in this sign in navamsa. Example: for aquarius lagna, if saturn is sitting in aquarius in navamsa chart. Then saturn is in lagnamsa.

8. Beware of Planet on same degree as Rahu/Ketu: if that Planet is in Malefic Combination , then you will face some chronic disease related to that planet or Disease which cant be detected.

9. Always Check Mrityubhag Planets: Use jyotish app for mobile or JHora for laptop to check. Example: KN rao had Venus in Mrityubhag ,he didnt marry and had some health troubles. steve jobs had mercury and rahu in mrityubhag: rahu was in 5th house sagittarius( Jupiter's sign) he had pancreatic cancer .

10. Vimshottari Dasha works better if you use divisional charts like navamsa saptamsa dasamsa chart along with lagna chart.

11. Tithis are important as they show your behaviour and nature: Some of them i know : Pratipada tithi arent afraid to start things or take risks. Tritya: Confident and Daring, Chaturthi: Anxious , Shasti: Dominating (Narendra modi/indira gandhi), Ashtami: Not on anyones side(diplomatic), Navami: Peaceful until you crossed their boundaries, Dashami: most hardworking, ekadashi: Serenity/peacefulness(Mahatma Gandhi), Chaturdasi: Vengeful . Others i dont know fully so not commenting

12. Lagna Nakshatra determines your physical features. Moon nakshatra and tithi determines your emotionality.

13. Use 8 karakas for jaimini including rahu and for jaimini use rasi aspects only (not planetary aspect)

Note: Most of these techniques were explained by Lunar Astro Youtube Channel. If you want to visit(just in case). You can comment some of your observed techniques too in comment thread for others. I am not experienced astrologer so some of these you may find wrong. So do comment better versions of your techniques.
