Going back to work [bc]
My baby is 6.5 months and I will be joining back work end of July. I took the standard leave option and husband took 15 weeks of the 40 week parental leave when baby was born. Thank god he did because my delivery was traumatic and ended up with emergency c section with no help or village. I work with a US based company so taking 9.5 months felt like the right thing to do even though I could take longer from a job protection standpoint. As the time approaches though I am second guessing myself - will 9 months be too young for baby to be in daycare etc. I want to hear from other moms who joined back work before the 1 year mark and share any tips. If you have positive things to share, I’d like to hear those too. If you’re in BC and can share how daycare process usually goes - that’s also much appreciated
PS both husband and I work from home but meeting heavy, leadership roles so pretty full on from 9am to 2pm
