Prior to having an IUD my periods were pretty mild, minimal cramping and mostly fatigue. I got an IUD in November 2024 and had it taken out November 2025. It caused the worst period pain I have ever had. I felt like I was being stabbed and that feeling would radiate up my torso. I’d get dizzy from the pain and everything below my ribs would just lock up and I’d have no choice but just cry on the floor, nothing helped. Ever since I got it removed, I’ve still experienced a more mild version of the stabbing sensation and weakness seemingly at random and/or the day before my period. My doctors have been less than helpful as apparently the IUD wasn’t out of place.
Does anyone have any idea what could possibly cause this??
Also, has anyone else experienced this?
