Newbie here, learning to polish.
So I am planning on learning to do “paint enhancement”, and need advice on products to buy, my car is already super swirled and got lots of randoms scratches everywhere as I live in Egypt, this is the norm here, so I am not looking for anything near perfection, I just want to make it more shiny where I can.
I am looking at polishing/cutting pads, and I am so confused between brands and the “style” of the pad like waffle or the smooth foam ones, please any advice would be appreciated, I will be getting a cheap DA polisher from Amazon (idk if that’s a good idea to begin with?) it’s called APT DA polisher, and I’ll be getting compound and polish from Menzerna or Sonax or Osren, as these are the available brands locally, I could get meguirs brand but it would be 5x more expensive than the others I’ve mentioned.
Sorry if my questions are vague or stupid but I am clueless about this stuff, I already wash my car with the 2 bucket method and use car soap from sonax, but where I live people sit on cars and put stuff on them and drag them off , cars get side swiped easily and is like not a big deal to most people, so almost all cars are beat.
