So there was an English teacher in our school who was like really handsome, fair, rich and really tall and charismatic. Every single girl in our school had a crush on him. He used to explain literature very well(you can call him our MR Keating from the Dead Poets Society). he used to talk about politics, feminism and all like he was really nice. if you talk to him you might feel how rare it is to find such peoplee with such knowledge. Last year he quit his job and got a GOV job. Then, after few months we got to know that he was getting married. as he was a very modern kind of guy to us, we all thought he would either have love marriage, or he wouldn't marry anyone, or even if he married anyone in arranged marraige setup he would marry someone like him, someone from urban area. but recently one of our friend told us that he is getting married to a village girl so we thought its okay his choicee then she told us he is getting 45lakh rs cash as dowry and a innova crysta + house furniture ACs silverware etc etc. my question is if you are like others why pretend to be a nice guy. and the girl he married she is much younger than him and she is not that well educated she barely passed her 12th grade(we know as she is from my friends village)
LOST ALL RESPECT I HAD FOR THIS MAN
TLDR; my teacher who used to say dowry is bad and talked about feminism, took 45 lakh dowry +other items like household furniture, silverware, car etc.
