I'm trying to track down a specific style of mahjong set I had growing up. The tiles had white/ivory fronts with shiny black backs — flat-backed plastic (likely melamine), not bamboo. They stacked beautifully and had that satisfying weight and "clink."
I'm looking to either:
- Identify the original maker of this style (any brand names, manufacturers, or eras associated with white-front/black-back flat plastic tiles)
- Buy a set — new or used, as long as it's complete 144 tiles for Chinese rules (no Jokers needed)
Happy to pay fair market price. Any leads on eBay listings, vintage shops, or who might still make this style would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
