Hi all!
Started CrossFit only a few weeks ago after getting bored of my standard gen pop strength routine of like ten years. Used to be a trainer (not CrossFit) myself for a spell. I’ve had some days where I really like the workouts programmed but more often than not I have found weeks where the programming doesn’t make a ton of sense or is just far too intense with only metcons in the week. I’ve discovered my box pays for mayhem programming and after comparing it to a competitor nearby who does their own programming I’m considering switching to the competitor because it feels more geared towards general fitness and less about competitive goals so to speak. The competitor publishes summaries of their macro cycles and micro cycles and I’m finding it much more intentional and intelligent. Maybe at their point in the year is just a better entry point for me as opposed to the mayhem side.
I do feel guilty about canceling at the first place. Should I give them constructive feedback if they ask?
