Hi! I’m a rising 10th grader rn and here are my ecs. I’d appreciate any feedback on them.
Current ECs:
Debate
Went to States for debate
Mock Trial (lowk might quit nxt yr)
Made it to semi-finals regionally
Nonprofit
I help run my chapter and organize events focused on cancer awareness and survivor support. I’ve worked on logistics, recruitment, and planning a large-scale event (fashion show, PVSA awards, speakers, etc.) helped over 10,000 ppl via services. (not giving too much info so i dont doxx myself)
AI Club
Founder and president of the school's AI club. I lead meetings, plan for competitions and design activities (intro to AI concepts, how to use workflows, and prepping members for competitions).
Hackathons (Microsoft)
I help plan and organize hackathons, regionally and nationally, focusing on logistics, coordination, and making them accessible to more students in partnership w/ microsoft
Writing
I write poetry for fun, and am part of my school's lit magazine (i'll have leadership next yr) I've submitted for publication to some places, but am waiting to hear back
History Competition Project (Vague so i dont doxx)
I’m creating a website abt a doctor who revolutionized medicine, conducted interviews w/ 2 ppl who knew him (not too much info so i dont doxx myself) won prizes for the past 2 yrs here
What I’m planning to do next:
Apply/ attend summer science research programs
Try to get involved in actual research (maybe like late 10/11th grade)
Continue expanding my nonprofit impact
Compete in writing competitions and submit more work, while gaining more leadership
Take part in more hackathons (as organizer + competitor)
Expand AI club
STEM Comps
Community service awards (waiting to hear back from some)
Sorry if these r too vague, I'm trying not to doxx myself. But, if you've read this far, thank you!! I'd appreciate any feedback you'd have on making my ecs better, considering im an asian female who wants to possibly major in STEM and philosophy/English, hopefully from Yale. Ik it's probably unrealistic of me, and the odds are not in my favor, but I'd really appreciate any insight into what I can do better. Thanks!
