I want to share my experience with Andrew at TrustyTime so others know what they may be dealing with.
Months ago I ordered:
- Calatrava 5226G SS/LE C-Grey HKF MY9015 Mod (PP0467B)
- Calatrava 5296G SS/LE White/Blue ZF 1:1 MY9015 Mod (PP0312B)
- Master Ultra Thin Moonphase SS/LE Silver Z+F A925 (JL210B)
On the Master Ultra Thin Moonphase, I had asked for a specific version. The first one they had apparently did not even pass their own QC, so I had to wait for another.
They then had problems getting the 5296, so I requested a refund on that watch.
Eventually I received the two remaining watches. They were shipped from New Jersey, which surprised me. I had no idea Andrew had a U.S. location or stock point.
When the watches arrived, the quality was terrible. In my opinion, the overall look and feel were worse than DHgate-level watches.
The biggest joke was the 5226 strap: it broke while I was putting the watch on.
Then came the refund issue. I emailed about the refund and got a reply saying I had used the wrong email, that the address I used was only for QC, and that I needed to contact a different email. I then emailed that address and got a reply saying that address was for sales and that I should use the other one — the same QC email I had started with.
So I was sent in a circle.
At that point, there is really no meaningful recourse except posting publicly and warning others.
This was my experience:
- long delays
- QC issues
- item availability problems
- refund runaround
- very poor quality on arrival
- strap failure immediately out of the box
Posting this so others can factor it into their decision before sending money.
