My son is a freshman who took a few high school science classes in middle school and algebra in 8th grade. This year (9th grade), he took Geometry and AP Chem. Next year (10th grade), he is signed up for AP Physics 1 and Advanced Algebra/Trig. We were discussing junior year this morning, and I am wondering if he should take AP Bio or AP Physics 2 after Physics 1? If he takes Physics 2 junior year, he would probably take Bio senior year and not take Physics C in high school. If he takes Bio junior year, he would take Physics C senior year when he also takes calculus.

The kiddo does plan to do a STEM major in college hopefully in a highly selective program, but he is not yet sure if he will go an engineering route or a hard science route. (As his parent, I secretly want him to fall in love with biology, but it probably won't happen.)

He won't have to make this decision until December or January. I'm just curious and have wasted too much time today googling this.
