Feeding raw after dental procedure

My cat is having a dental procedure tomorrow that may result in extraction. My vet said “I can’t say that most vets recommend a raw diet, but I would definitely recommend against feeding her raw food after the surgery, just because of the potential for infection.”

(We go to this vet because it’s so close to our house and we don’t have a car. It would be great to go to one that fully supports my cat’s raw diet, but this is what we are working with.)

Anyway what’s yalls thoughts on this?? Should I feed her good wet food instead of raw until her mouth is healed or…? 🤔

Locations to sign the recall this week

EDIT to put this info at the top:

ALGIERS Monday 5/11 & Wednesday 5/13
8am—5pm 1529 Newton St

NEW ORLEANS TONIGHT Monday 5/11 at the Howlin’ Wolf
6pm—8pm 907 S Peters

Went over to Algiers today to sign that thang and it took two minutes. There was a nice little line too!! Brought our IDs and were told that it is jmportant that the address on your ID matches the address on your voter registration.

You can follow @ louisianadeservesbetter on Instagram for more and continued information, and it looks like they’re building a website at louisianadeservesbetter.com as well. Very cool and inspiring to see this unfolding and the growing attention the effort is getting!

No matter how unlikely this is, civic engagement and education, especially in places with abysmal participation and voter turnout, are pretty objectively positive.

And you know what…LOUISIANA DOES DESERVE BETTER

Chance to sign the recall petition here in the city

This is the first I’ve seen to be able to sign here in New Orleans. All signatures for the recall must be signed in person; there will be no online option. One of the women who actually filed the petition in BR has shared and reposted this, so it seems legit?
(Except that picture of him.) I think we have to get almost 600k signatures, and we have til October…get ya early votes in today or tomorrow, and head to Algiers Monday or Wednesday!!

It's my first time going to the last day and I'm going alone. I love going to Jazz Fest alone, and I intend to move around quite a bit! Got to go the first day this year, and have been working like crazy since so I'm grateful to be going again.

I'm familiar with several of the acts today, but of course there are so many I know absolutely nothing about...so if any of y'all can share who you're looking forward to catching and maybe a little why, I'd love inform my choices :) especially the lesser known/more local acts! Any stage; I'd honestly love to hit as many as I can. Bonus points if you throw in your favorite fest food--hoping to try a bunch of new things tomorrow (got all my faves last Thursday).
