Metformin prior to pregnancy, how did you test for GDM?
I was on metformin prior to pregnancy for many years because I have insulin resistance pcos. I am doing the at home test method (fasting and 2 hrs after meals) to see if I have GDM. I noticed the day I forgot my morning metformin I spiked at every meal, all other days I was within range.
Would this suggest I do infant have GDM and the metformin is masking it? My dr told me to stay on it for the test so how would I know if I really had it.
