After the first 3 tries on Freerun I thought about giving up, after 2 tries in a private server: i love this mode!
First, I'm 45 so I'm not the quickest learner anymore. I play on pc/m&k.
It was excruciating at first, couldn't even make it to half in 20 minutes.
I figured i was doing something wrong and jumped into a private freerun server. It took me about 10 minutes to find out I was doing something completely wrong on the wall jumps. Before I was just jumping and steering with my mouse, it hadn't come to me to also steer left and/or right when wall jumping. I took the next round to figure out the painfull spots and a few minor short cuts.
Went into a Freerun after I managed to get my first completed round in 18 minutes.
It took me another 3 hours to really figure things out and managed to complete the event with the best time around 12.50 and 11 fails.
To some of the people not able to finish and/or on m&k: jump into a private server, there's probably something you just not know.
Also, turn sprint 'always on' in settings and use your WASD to steer your wall jumps!
