My partner and I have been deep in ancestral nutrition for the last few years (she's a somatic healer, I'm a private chef and nutrition coach), and I keep coming back to the same handful of foods that move the needle the most.
Sharing in case it helps anyone:
🫀 LIVER — most nutrient-dense food on earth. We do chicken liver pate weekly, beef liver with onions occasionally. People are scared of it but it's the cheapest superfood you can buy.
🦴 BONE BROTH — homemade only. Simmered 12-24 hours with apple cider vinegar to pull the minerals from the bones. The glycine and collagen heal the gut lining in a way no supplement matches.
🦪 OYSTERS — single highest source of zinc on earth. Critical for hormones and immunity. We eat them raw when we can find them fresh.
🥚 PASTURE-RAISED EGGS — every building block for hormone synthesis in one food. Not the same as conventional eggs.
🐟 FATTY WILD FISH — the omega-3s your brain is literally made of. Salmon, sardines, mackerel. Once or twice a week minimum.
What's worked for everyone else here? Curious what other ancestral foods people are leaning on.
