Having a rough go with Dark Elves this league season.

I've lost every game except for one: Sweltering Heat against Orcs with a Charge in the overtime kick. I think I can put an asterisk next to that W, if I'm being honest.

So, technically I would say that I've lost every game. I've played Nurgle, Norse, Orcs, Black Orcs, Underworld, (Old) High Elves, Lizardmen. Some patterns have started to emerge in my play that I just want to note:

  • I have a hard time picking kickoff setups for my AG-focused team with okay speed
  • My players usually can get away from blocks with a dodge, but they will immediately be based in the turn following, at which point they almost always fail their dodges away from danger.
  • I have a very, very poor offense and a slightly better defense, with games usually going 1-0 or 2-1 in overtime.
  • On defense I frequently get tied up in my opponent's back line and the team ends up just fully divided.

In an effort to improve my game I've taken to FUMBBL, where I can get in 1 or 2 games per night, but the pattern keeps emerging- I just look like a fool. My standard team is 2 witches, 2 blitzers, a runner, and 6 line elves. I don't know when to follow up after a block, when to GFI, when to ignore players, etc. I feel like I'm just lost when it comes to the strategies with dark elves.

So anyway, does anyone have any general recommendations for this team that I could implement in my last two games, just to get some sort of moral victory? All that remains is a worse Lizardmen team and the uh... #1 player with suped up OWA.

Thank you for your guiding words. Nuffle be with you.
