Stuck seat post wedge in seat tube
Hey guys, I’m building up a new Tavelo Arow frameset that delivered today. I removed the seat post to install a Di2 battery when the seat post wedge slipped into the seat tube. It fell into the seat tube and now I literally cannot get it out.
So far I’ve tried:
- shaking the frame violently
- jabbing at it from the bottom bracket side to try and push it through
- using picks to try and pick it out
So far from the looks of it, every time I go to flip the frame upside down the wedge expands and the corners of the wedge get stuck. There’s a little lip inside the seat tube where the chain stay meets the seat tube and it’s getting caught on that. I’ve tried to compress the wedge using picks and pushing at it from the other end but no luck.
I’m hoping one of you guys out there have a solution for this… I contacted Tavelo and am still waiting to hear back.
