Does mixed voice usually sound kind of like head voice at first for altos?
Hiii! I’ve been taking vocal lessons since I was 9, and last year I learned how to use my mixed voice. For altos, is mixed voice usually softer/lighter than expected while you’re developing it? Mine often sounds kinda like head voice when I sing, even though my vocal coach says I’m doing it correctly. Can you train it to sound more powerful over time? Are there any techniques or warmups that helped make your mix more stable?
