Just finished reading The Reformatory by Tananarive Due. And for any King fans I think this would be a great read.

It has great character development in a coming of age story. Tying in elements of horror and gore with strong political messages.
The style and pacing felt fairly similar to a King book with just less of the large bosoms and jahoobies.

Let me know if anyone else has read this and agrees!!
