I was rear ended by an uninsured motorist two weeks ago. I filed a police report but they did not get in any trouble with them. They offered to pay for the damages once I got a quote and have since said they cannot meet those obligations. I would like to ensure they suffer consequences for their recklessness and see if I can recoup any costs. as I will have to go out of pocket with my insurance and wanted to know what actions are recommended for me.
