Hello all,

I came here before asking about ai slop and what makes it be that so I can try to avoid. I got hit with a lot of responses advising to learn code and don't use ai as the operator but a tool.

So I started learning, still got a long way to go but thought I had just enough practice to try to start one of my own projects.

Everything seemed clear enough. Click here to make the piece move, these VFX/SFX will trigger followed by the result of the movement.

So I opened up Unity, named my project and set myself up to start. I then realised that my very first step is to make a hex Grid and thought to myself "I haven't learnt this so will look up some videos/tutorials".

This is when the nightmare happened. Video after video of people quickly explaining how to make one then speeding through their code typing and flicking back and forth so that it's difficult to copy what they are doing, and ultimately not learning anything but just trying to copy and paste their work which felt unproductive.

Does anyone have any decent material they have used to create a hex Grid that I can learn from properly.
