I’m in a rush to book my fligh before fuel prices catch up. My friends got one way tickets for 400$ a person from HawaiI.

i would like to get best the ticket but I am wondering if I will have to go to California (where I was born) first to get this special birth cert?

Is arriving with a one way ticket, as American, a bad look from immigration’s standpoint.

I know countries generally don’t like this but I am planning to apply directly for residency and since we can stay for a year even if residency doesn’t work out a return ticket is a waste of money no?

My current thought is to sell all my stuff and arrive light and see how things unfold there vs the U.S.

I asked the same when I moved to Hawaii and got a lot of great suggestions.

Mix of history and fiction, things that give some background and culrural insight.

Thanks in advance!

edit: any suggestions on sources (not necessarily books) for how to start practicing learning Albanian?

Can anyone give me an idea of the step by step in shipping my car and how to be able to legally drive it when it arrive.

im planning to apply for residence on arrival but don’t know how long that would take or if it would be successful?

but shipping my car would solve complexity of selling and buying a new one with language barrier and I could also put my stuff in it right, surfboards etc that would be expensive and imperiled on flight.

I think there would be a two week gap between when I leave Hawaii and arrive in Tirana. Can shipping times be staggere? how do you get your car once it arrives?

update ive heard there can be a lack of parking infrastructur. my friends are planning to buy scooters

I like places with tourism as I would be looking to do massag, DJing, and surf lessons. I imagine it will take time to get established so I would want to live somewhere a bit cheaper but I like the look of Gjirokastër.

Any insights? Thanks!
