Hi all, first post ever on Reddit for me! I have a senior bun, she's nearly 10 years old (photo below) and she's always been on her own. My partner and I work 99% of the time from home and she's rarely left on her own. She generally has an enriching life, binkies every morning and still some mischievous behaviour every now and again (she loves 'helping us' with cardboard delivery boxes :D) and has only ever been ill twice.
Every now and again the though of getting her a companion crosses my mind. Previously, things like not enough space in the flat or moving have prevented me from getting her another friend, but my partner and I are now settled at least for the foreseeable future and we should have enough space for another rabbit.
Onto my questions - considering she's never been around other rabbits (or animals generally) would it be too stressful for her if we were to get her another bun? What are your experiences with bonding rabbits and specifically senior rabbits?
I'm worried the stress of her being around another animal might unsettle her and cause more stress than actually benefit her. Any and all advice is welcome!
