Hii, so i have been trying to understand in what ways do retail fashion brands lose money especially in India, and most stuff online feels pretty surface-level. Like return fraud, inventory mismanagement, etc.

Would love to hear from people who’ve worked in fashion retail (brands, Myntra/Ajio, stores like H&M, etc.):

- Where do losses actually happen that outsiders don’t notice?

- Anything beyond theft like returns, discounting, ops issues or nuances in them as well?

- Is it worse in stores or online?

Just trying to learn from real experiences and hopefully build some solution around it depending upon the pain points.

Also, if anyone’s open to a quick 10-15 min chat, I’d really appreciate it 🙏
