Panic/Gepetto Ruling

Panic/Gepetto Ruling

It hasn't been a good night for Jenette. First, inspired by "it is not hands that call us - it is desire", I figured I'd try to stop Razorface killing an innocent Saviour at Sunnydaze Mall, which I did but then got killed. Then, randomly generating a setup and using the app throughout, I took on Gepetto in Marrek Warehouse, and despite blowing three puppets away in one turn with a magnum, I ended up having to check my final health token and find it blank. As usual, I forgot that the puppets can't move more than two spaces from him until he got his No Strings Attached finale, but that's something I'm used to by now. There were two cards that came up that caused me rule issues.

I think "Bring Her To Me!" is relatively clear; I'm just asking here because I hate it. I'm one space away from Gepetto with a Puppet in my space. If I use a Guard to block all damage from the Puppet in my space, then it just keeps attacking until I take a damage, right? Because I'm not in Gepetto's space yet and there's still a Puppet in my space. So using a Guard is a bad idea, right? And the Puppet just gets infinite unblockable attacks unless I can Retaliate and kill it, right? And I hate that a lot, right? That last one wasn't a question.

As for "Boxed In With Nowhere To Go", that's the one I find interesting. I had two Victims in a space with a Puppet. Both panicked, as the card says. One went one square down, the other didn't move. So the one that didn't move... did panic, because it says those victims panic. And it ended up in a space with a Puppet. But did it panic to a space with a Puppet? It didn't move, so the "to" seems to imply it didn't, but if you're ticking things off, panic, check, space with a Puppet, check... Resolving it on the grounds of what would suck most for me, I resolved that the Puppet mutilated the Victim with its horrible puppet knives, and that seems to fit with rules-as-intended - boxed in, nowhere to go, can't escape the murder mannequins. But I could also see the intent being "the Victims are easier to kill when they panic, and so the Puppets are trying to panic them to run somewhere and let down their guard; if the Victim stands firm then the Puppet doesn't get that vulnerability".

I'm 90% sure on Bring Her To Me and 65% sure on Boxed In. But I thought I'd bring it up to the manyheaded audience.

I'm sure I'll unlock your win reward one of these days, Jenette. Your seven health will be properly appreciated.
