Hi, just making sure I understand my healthcare options properly. My job gives three options: PPO, HDHP1, and HDHP2.

PPO: $1650/month premium, 0 deductible, $10K MOOP, $20-$105 co-pays.

HDHP1: $1370/month premium, $6800 deductible, $8k MOOP.

HDHP2: $740/month premium, $10k deductible, $12k MOOP.

My spouse and I plan on having another child, which would mean that we're mostly likely going to hit the MOOP two years in a row (checkups this year and birth next year.) Picking HDHP2 over the PPO would save $10920 a year, which is only $1k less than the MOOP HDHP2 has anyways, plus the HDHP lets me have an HSA. Picking HDHP2 is the obvious choice even if I just barely reach the MOOP, right? Under what circumstance would I pick MHDP1, which seems like the worst of both worlds with a high premium and high MOOP ($7.5k more expensive than HDHP2 and only hits the cap $4k sooner.)
