Vlogger brags about skipping entry ticket at Pindi Railway Station: Dark Reality of VIP Culture
Was just watching a recent YouTube short by Foodie Sultan where he tries food at the Rawalpindi Railway Station.
Right at the beginning of the video, he mentions that the station entry ticket is Rs. 30. But instead of just buying it, he proudly announces that he and his friend got in for free because the ticket collector knew him.

I know 30 rupees is basically nothing, but that’s exactly why it’s so frustrating. We spend all day cursing politicians and elites for corruption and VIP culture, but the second a regular guy gets a tiny bit of jaan pehchaan (clout), he does the exact same thing on a micro level.
Pakistan Railways is already a struggling state institution. Why is an educated guy, who makes decent money off his platform, flexing about dodging a basic civic fee for personal PR?
It’s not a flex to cost the national exchequer money just to look cool in front of your subscribers. We complain about the country going down the drain, but we celebrate these little favors and normalized micro-corruption every chance we get.
Stop celebrating this cheap "I know a guy" culture. Just pay the 30 rupees, man.
