I’m starting an electrical apprenticeship and trying to figure out the best tool setup without overspending. I was originally deciding between two tool kits, but a master electrician I know recommended the 28-piece hand tool set with the Tradesman Pro backpack.
Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to get more opinions:
Is that set actually worth it for a first-year apprentice?
Are there better value or cheaper alternatives I should consider?
Any specific brands you’d recommend for durability and long-term use?
If you were starting over, what tools would you prioritize buying first vs. upgrading later?
Appreciate any advice—just trying to make a smart investment upfront!
