Dear arborists
I have this beautiful +50 years old plum tree in my garden. The last few seasons it has produced hundreds, maybe thousands of delicious plums. However it is getting way too big and I am looking to drastically reduce its size over the next few years.
I am fully okay with a few seasons with little to no fruit in the process of getting a more manageable tree.
I was thinking a reduction in height of at least 1/3
How do I attack this beast of a tree? When and where to make the major cuts/rejuvanation cuts?
I am located in Denmark, which according to Google would be zone 8a
Grateful for any tips and recommendations
