Hello everyone. Me and my SO recently moved into our new house (renting) and we have some water issues. Our hot water smells, is a dark yellow, has sediment, and leaves rust stains in everything the water comes from (sink, shower, toilet). Our cold water is clear with little to no smell and has very little sediment. We are worried it may be a bigger issue than just changing some filters, which we want to avoid doing ourselves since we are renting, and would like some insight as to what the issue could be.
For context the system involves a new Navien tankless water heater, a Nuvoh2o saltless softener (just the softener), and a DuPont whole house water filter. The house is from the 1960s I believe and has well water I believe as well.
