I understand that using “the best” in classical music isn’t really accurate; however, I’d like to know your opinions on different versions of the 1812 Overture. My favorite so far is the live performance at the Prinsengrachtconcert in 2013 by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, conducted by Antonio Pappano. I can't believe it was a free concert! I’m not a musician, just a classical music lover.
