Lpn with degree in psych

Is there anyone here who has both their LPN and a bachelor’s degree in another field (not rn/bsn) who was able to combine the two into a higher-paying career? What was your degree in and what do you do now? I have my LPN and a BA in Psychology, and I’m looking for ideas/options outside of traditional bedside nursing.

Trying to get in to nursing school

I’m an LPN who is trying to get into Rn school. The public universities in my HCOL city are extremely competitive because of their MUCH lower tuition costs. I’ve been trying at this goal on and off for 11 years. I’ve tried at 2 different schools before I pivoted and obtained my LPN license. I figured once I got my LPN I could try for an LPN to RN bridge instead of the generic Rn programs. Getting my LPN was grueling but I got amazing grades. Now I’m trying again at this and it’s been nothing but stress and anxiety about whether or not I’ll be accepted. Idk what to do anymore. I honestly feel like giving up and moving on with my life as an LPN. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable about that is the fact that as an Rn I’d be making significantly more than what I make now to do the same job (in the office I work in). I know that I can try at private schools and even do an Absn (I have a previous Bachelors degree) but private schools/absn programs are incredibly expensive in my city and I don’t want all the debt that comes with paying for that. To me that would defeat the purpose of what I’m trying to do in the first place. I’m just so frustrated with the whole system. My grades for the prerequisites are not low but I don’t have all A’s and that’s the problem. I just feel really stuck and I’m not sure where to go from here.
