Why ice dance is more popular than pairs ?
I wonder why most people, both FS fans and casual viewers are more interested in ice dance than pairs. I've always thought that pairs with lifting, jumps, "death spiral" and other "acrobatic" elements look more spectacular and have a greater potential to attract an audience. Moreover, it is easier to see the differences between competitors. So why does ice dance get more attention, more emotions, generate more discussions and also probably has better viewership ?
