So I was playing my 35XXH in the sun yesterday, and the screen just went black. Had no idea what was going on, but then went inside and the screen was basically black with some shimmering. I'm going to try and reseat the display ribbon cable, but I'm 99% sure it's probably cooked. If that's the case, I have no desire to put any more money into this as I've had it over two years and have basically gotten my money's worth.

That being said, I'd like to maybe use it as an always-on console. It does work perfectly now plugged into a HDMI cable. That being, the aspect ratios/scaling have never been right for me only ever being in Stock OS.

If I flashed a card to say, Knulli (which seems to have the most console like experience), would the scaling in Retroarch and other games be correct? Or would it be all stretched out like it is now? The problem with Stock OS is that you're for some reason not allowed to even set the aspect ratio to 4:3 for some reason (Settings/Video/Scaling), so everything is a little off.

Is this even possible? Many thanks for any help.
