monitor keeps turning off, need help without replacing

hi, im not too sure what id actually tag this as so apologies if it's wrong.

ive had this monitor for a few years now and i think around last year it started acting up, everytime the screen would go black \[like when watching a movie on full screen, starting a game up and recently when it goes to sleep once i wake it up it will turn off\], im not too sure what the issue is because there's nothing wrong with the cables, the monitor has never taken damage in anyway and is in perfectly fine condition aside from this issue. the brand is kogan, which thinking now im not sure if thats the best brand for a monitor, but it was a gift from my parents a few years ago.

anyone know a solution for this? preferably i dont really want to replace it, as i am a student and dont have alot of money to drop on a new monitor.
