I've finally finished the main construction aspect of what was a relatively useless closet into a future hopeful more useful pantry. Before and after pics for posterity of former uselessness :)

On the opposite side of the pantry is a stairwell which unfortunately kicks in the lower half. I could do regular shelving all the way up but less deep at the bottom. I bet the reddit hivemind has some clever ways to use this space that I can't think of though.

Two things I've considered are hanging fruit / vegetable baskets or adding wine racks.
