Just realized this happening. The 12th game of this season will be Shanahan’s 153rd game as HC making him the longest tenured coach in 49ers history. He is tied with Walsh with 14 playoff games too. (We’re not going to talk about Super Bowls though).

Cool milestone to celebrate this year

100% of the draft class will be rookies. On average, 50% of any draft class will be on a 53-man roster to start the season (about 130 players). About half of those will be starters (about 65), which means 2 rookie starters per team on average. Teams that have so many holes that they would start more than 2 rookies on opening day are probably struggling or in serious rebuild mode.

Do the Niners need more than 2 rookies starting next year? Who would you replace with a rookie? Or do they have some talent through existing players, got better through trades (supposedly they got some good players), and are developing players already in the system?

Also, about 5% of the NFL draft makes the pro bowl in their first 5 years playing. 49ers hit rate on that stat since 2019 is 6%.
