I was going to book a 5-bedroom rental via VRBO for Madeira Beach, Fl - a standard rental for 3-nights for $2900. Then I saw the 40,000 Bonus Points on Global Vacation Rental via Marriott Bonvoy, so I looked and found the same rental unit! Watch the points stack up:

40,000 bonus points + 14,878 platinum booking + 6X using Marriott Amex 17,403. Total of 72,281 points. And I used Rakuten which was 1.5X - so earned 4350 Amex points. Best part is we are splitting the rental with others but I reaped the benefits!
