Work From Home - Vent
Incoming vent.
I am now 4 months into this new job. Ive been wanting a work from home job that didn’t include speaking on the phone. Finally got it in January.
My issue with my job isn’t that I’m bored or complexity of the work, it is the fact that I’ve inherited an experienced employee’s portfolio of loans (she moved to another role before really teaching me the nuances of her loans/deals).
I have this entire portfolio and I feel I’m annoying the hell out of my coworkers because they have their own boatload of work and the manager (who just returned from maternity leave) isn’t necessarily able to give me the necessary time.
I’m already getting jaded. (They mentioned the person I replaced being dissociated from the work and mostly unavailable and non-productive and I can kinda see how that happens.)
I need to be functional in my job but I feel extremely non-functional with the size of the portfolio I’ve been given and the fact that most of the tasks right now still require assistance or oversight that’s never readily available 🤦🏿♂️.
It also sucks because different people have different levels of understanding about stuff and I’ve got reworked for stuff I was guided to do 😪- and that tanks my end-of-year quality metrics.
Hearing “oh you’re doing great, asking the right questions and approaching the work appropriately” while I’m here totally unsure does not do anything for me💀”
