Hi all, we have a Agilent 6120 quadrupole connected to LC. Our tuning mix ran out last week and replaced it with the correct tuning mix. It’s been sitting empty for a couple of days and tried to tune once without realizing the bottle was empty.
After replacing the tuning mix I did an auto tune and abundances were one order of magnitude lower (112.99 m/z went from 606976 to 76074). Could it be a blockage or salt deposit in the lines? There was no other change except for the tune mix change between the two tuning data.
My plans are to check if the tune mix is properly delivered by disconnecting from the source and checking the drip. If that’s fine, then check nebulizer and flush if needed.
If you have experienced this before or have any ideas I would appreciate your insight. Thanks!
