Species: Cat

Age: 17

Sex/Neuter status: F, neutered

Breed: Catish

Body weight: 2kg

History: She has a tumor in the liver, local vets don't have tools to diagnose more specificly, but it's probably not a cancer since she lives with it for thrid year already. Can't be operated because all vets agree that in such state operation will most likely kill her.

Clinical signs: high ALT AST, occasional vomiting, refusing to eat, being very skinny, very rare epileptic seizures

Duration: 3 years

Your general location: Ukraine

I give her hepatoprotectors, various detoxers, also daily infusions of natrium chloride of 100ml per day, and that keeps her somewhat stable, but she barely eats on her own and very skinny, so she is being force fed most of the time. She is mostly calm, sleeps or purrs, but sometimes roams around like trying to search for something.

The new problem that appeared in last half year and now worsened a lot is coughing. She often starts coughing like she tries to cough something out. But nothing ever comes out. And after 5-10 minutes she usually stops, but sometimes it goes on longer. The coughing is not violent (she is not chocking), but rather calm. And it became a lot more frequent now. Nobody can tell me what that could mean and is there anything i could do to help her with that. Do you have any idea?
