5 months since my girly has been gone. 🪽

For Lucy, My Tinkerbutt 🩷🪽

You came into my life
with tiny paws and curious eyes,
a little white blur
of mischief, cuddles, and love.

You stole anything rubber,
claimed blankets as kingdoms,
and somehow turned ordinary days
into memories I’ll carry forever.

You curled beside me
on the hardest nights,
quietly reminding me
that love doesn’t need words.

The house feels softer now,
quieter in the saddest way.
No tiny footsteps,
no sleepy stretches,
no little nose searching for me.

And still…
I see you everywhere.

In warm sunlight on blankets.
In crumpled bedsheets.
In peaceful mornings.
In every soft thing that reminds me of home.

You were never “just a ferret.”
You were comfort.
You were joy.
You were family.

My sweet tinkerbutt,
I hope wherever you are now
there are endless blankets to burrow in,
sunbeams to nap beneath,
and all the love you carried here
waiting to hold you again.

Until we meet again, Lucy—
thank you
for every tiny paw print
you left on my heart. 🩷🪽
