Why do you still have to trim the edges every week?
My lawn is split into two pretty large areas, and I currently have a smaller older boundary wire mower working in the front yard. Now I’m thinking about getting a separate mower for the backyard since the layout and edges back there are a lot more difficult to handle. But one thing still annoys me in my front yard, every time it finishes, there’s always a strip of grass left along walls and flower beds that I still have to trim manually every week. It’s way better than fully mowing by hand, but the constant edge cleanup gets tiring, especially around tight corners and narrow spots. I’m wondering if newer models have finally solved this, maybe with a built-in edge trimmer or better navigation that can mow closer to edges? I’ve heard some of the newer LiDAR models handle boundaries better too. Anyone have real experience with one that actually does a good job on edges?
