I purchased a used ally about 3 weeks ago. It worked perfectly and I have been using it nightly. The guy gave me a dock, stock charger and a 100w charger for 30w turbo mode.
Usually I leave it docked in the daytime then game handheld at night using the 100w charger. Last night I noticed the console was not charging. Everything else worked fine and I ran it until 0% trying different chargers, hard resets etc., left it on a low wattage charger overnight and still no battery or orange light in the morning.
Today I tried reseating the battery cable, covering the optical sensor and removing the ribbon cable to that part of the board and nothing.
Took it to a local computer shop to test the voltage and sure enough nothing going to the charging port.
Is it officially toast?
