First off, I'm a homeowner and I don't have many trees to maintain. I have a Troy Bilt 4 cycle power head for their "Trimmer Plus" accessories, or at least I had one. I was using it the other day and internal parts became external. Ive had 2 other power heads. First one i bought new, second one got out of someone's trash and made a good one from the 2. When it died, I bought a Stihl FS91 trimmer and the Stihl dealer threw in the Troy Bilt from their junk pile out back.
I have a few Trimmer Plus accessories. A pole saw, a small tiller, and 2 string trimmer heads. I use the tiller in the garden and for planting grass. I use the pole saw for trimming trees, and I keep the Trimmer heads in case something happens to the Stihl.
I'd like to find another power head that will run my Trimmer Plus tools. A lot of the Troy Bilt stuff is now re branded as Craftsman and the Trimmer Plus accessories fit. Is there anything else out there that works with the accessories?
If anyone else out there has a Trimmer Plus pole saw, what bars and chains do you guys use? I'm due for a new chain.
