Hey all, just going through the game for the first time and I see that many posts in the sub are about cultivating the character's relationships.
Is the game structured in a way that you really need to follow online guides to successfully romance party members? I'm trying to play "naturally" without actively seeking external information (except for plot points or other places where I feel stuck). Can romances just "happen" as you play, or is it more likely that you will miss them if you don't put active effort into them?
For example, do you really need to pursue every campsite long-rest cutscenes, or can you just long rest when you feel like it? And do you have to explore all dialogue options with a certain npc at all times, or will it more or less work out by itself?
I don't want to turn the game into a chore, but I think it would be a bit sad to miss on romances. I'm playing an oath of the ancients paladin and my best buddy at the moment is Wyll, but I'm not actively courting him or following a romance guide
