‘99 Malibu Sunsetter

I made a post a few days ago about my medallion MDC and the gauges not working. I since have checked the voltage and the 18 pin plug is getting power but still no response from the gauges. I tried checking the resistance but honestly could not figure it out. So if the plug is getting power and the gauges are not working I’m thinking it’s the MDC itself that’s faulty am I wrong?

I bought this boat last week and been trying to find out if I need a new medallion MDC or it’s something else. None of the gauges work with the key turned on. During the outside inspection the MDC doesn’t look cracked or damaged. I was looking and it did separate with minimal force and the inside looks like it could have been attempted to be repaired or if this is normal. less
