Why do so many people downvote questions from newbies? Is this not the point of this sub?

Seriously! There will be a question of something like:

"How do I stop my onions from browning so quickly?"

And there's like -1 upvotes and 30+ comments. We need to stop discouraging people from posting questions on a beginner cooking sub. C'mon folks.

Currently, I am a Site Services Coordinator at a large company. My work includes:

  • Ordering maintenance parts and office supplies
  • Event assistance (A/V, room booking, coordinating)
  • Utility payments
  • Maintenance work order filing
  • Payment processing
  • Answer general questions about the site
  • Support the Site manager and the rest of my team (maintenance, security, custodians, Site safety, and shipping)
  • Manage contractors and ensure theyre cleared for work on-site
  • Answer questions about required medical testing
  • And a bunch more small things.

I miss the smooth workflow from my previous food service jobs (Jimmy John's and barista). There's some satisfaction in getting my current work done, but I would rather have a smaller range of tasks that I can feel like an expert in. My role currently feels a bit too much like a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None". I also enjoy having a set of "tools" that I felt confident using, like a bread knife or an espresso machine. Digital tools could fill that gap maybe?

I enjoy connecting with my team members and problem solving, and I appreciate a balance of deep focus work and fast paced, think on your feet work. I enjoy my tasks and am effective at them, but find myself out of things to do early into my morning. I'd enjoy adding on some more complex things to tackle.

I was looking at things like Project Coordinator, Corporate Event Coordinator, HR coordinator, Executive Assistant, those sorts of things. Please suggest any titles you think would be a good fit!

Thank you in advance and Happy Friday :)

We'll see if this gets removed, but I was super disappointed to see the views of the CEO of what I thought to be a very cool company. I will not be supporting someone who wrote a eulogy for Charlie Kirk, sells "Napalm Smoothies" at a Vietnamese restaurant he owns, and supportes MAGA. Mods keep removing anything critiquing him, but I am severely disappointed.

We ordered the new TRMNL and will be taking our money elsewhere.
