Hey All:

Wanted to get everyone's opinion! I am looking at an ES300h right now and wanted to understand the risks with purchasing this. I test drove this car:

https://www.performancekingshonda.com/inventory/used-2013-lexus-es-300h-hybrid-fwd-4dr-car-jthbw1gg7d2002143/

This was a very clean car with 130,000 miles on the clock. Drove smoothly and the interior and exterior were in really great shape for the mileage and age, and I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this possible purchase

Loved driving it. It felt comfortable, quiet, and surprisingly responsive around town. Ride quality was excellent and it honestly felt much newer than I expected for a 2013 with this mileage.

Dealer is at $12,000 out the door.

My main questions are:

How risky is buying a 2013 ES300h at 130k miles?

How concerned should I be about the hybrid battery at this age/mileage?

Are there common expensive repairs on these I should watch for?

Is $12k OTD a solid deal if it checks out mechanically?

Would you choose this over a similarly priced gas ES350 / Avalon / Camry?

For context, reliability and comfort matter most to me, but I also want something enjoyable to drive and not a total appliance. I have a 2018 Highlander, and I'm just looking for a sedan to add to my fleet for daily use and less long haul trips. I do Lexus/Toyota's 3.5 V6 in this generation. Am I missing a lot by not buying the V6 (from a driving experience perspective?). I was getting roughly 38 mpg on the highway when I test drove the es300h, and it felt surprisingly nimble and peppy.

Would definitely appreciate any ownership experiences, especially from people with higher mileage ES300h models.
