Husband wants to use this to “ get to the next level of self”

He has no mental health conditions. Stressful job though. Wants to try this to see if it makes him a better person, take himself to the next level, and see what happens… I’m very against it due to having no mental health issues. Thoughts?

Also please no judgement towards me. I’ve never even smoked weed, we just got married and he knew my stance on drugs… then he comes home telling me he wants to take ketamine…

On todays episode of WILL-WE-BE -HOUSE-BROKE?!!

After taxes, 401k/ROTH (at 15% contributions) we bring home $11,140.

No debts or loans. No kids.

EST. Mortgage: $3,800

Gym membership: $100

Grocery: $700

Utilities/electricity: $350

Oh shit fund: $500

Travel fund: $500

Spotify: $13

Leaving $5117 extra a month. I know (I think) this is plenty - but we are young first time home buyers and I do not want to be house broke, I work from home and we are moving to a rural area, so we are looking at nicer houses for that reason. I want to make sure I’m not being an idiot

We are draining our savings though to hit that 20% for a downpayment on a 630k house and covering closing… original asking is 665k.

We have just around 15k left over in our accounts.

Also - it’s it better to offer 630k+closing or 645k they cover closing? Less of a loan to request if we cover it… hmm…

There is another house down the street that is asking 65k less but the mortgage amount comes out to a $120 a month difference … thoughts on that?
